| Could El Paso support an MLB team? Now, before you get all angry at me, I am NOT advocating El Paso to get a relocated or, God-forbid, expansion team. But I was reading something, and the idea sounded quite interesting, and I'd like to know your thoughts. El Paso, Texas is quite far away from the 'rest' of Texas- it's almost 600 miles to Austin, and about 750 miles from Houston- that's a 12-hour drive for baseball. El Paso, however, only has 649,000 people, with a metro area of 800,000- quite small for MLB. HOWEVER, this only counts those living in the United States. El Paso is right across the Rio Grande from Ciudad Juarez, which has a population of 1.4 million. ============== it support san jose | |
