Wooden blinds or roller blinds with curtains ?

this picture is not my frontroom but is the same windows and thats how my blinds are...but ive got voile white curtains aswell..that are tied back to make it more pretty looking..all i wanted to know is,would it look better with wooden slat blinds...but not going up to the ceiling ! ive got some blinds that i did buy for the windows, but they are to small! in the lengh so i thought that, i might put them back up,but put them half way down ? if that makes sense lol thanx
