Irregular heart rhythm after triple bypass?

My Dad just HAD triple bypass it Thursday. Overall it Went Well, The dr. WAS cable to bypass all 3 with out Stopping the heart. Last night is irregular heart rhythm Became, The dr. Stated They Will try meds first to try and get back normal rhythm and If That does not work THEY CAN shock the Heart.
